Climate Change Impact Intelligence System
A national-scale environmental monitoring platform that consolidates climate data, environmental risk indicators, and emissions tracking.
Project Overview
The Climate Change Impact Intelligence System is a national-scale environmental monitoring platform that consolidates climate data, environmental risk indicators, emissions tracking, and sustainability progress into a single, continuously updated intelligence dashboard.
It serves as decision infrastructure for climate adaptation and mitigation, tracking exposure to environmental risk, emissions trends, and national climate commitments.
Core Features
- National Climate Risk Monitor: Real-time overview of temperature anomalies, rainfall deviations, and drought severity across the country.
- Emissions & Carbon Tracking: Monitoring GHG profiles against national commitments (NDCs) and tracking deforestation via satellite alerts.
- Environmental Health Indicators: Tracking air quality, water body health, and land degradation indices.
- Agricultural Climate Impact Tracker: Connecting climate conditions to food security with seasonal crop stress indices and yield forecast deviations.
- Sustainability Progress Tracker: Monitoring progress against the Paris Agreement, SDG 13, and national environmental policies.
- Climate Projection Explorer: Forward-looking tool for 20, 30, and 50-year climate projections by region.
Impact
The system makes Ghana's international climate commitments monitorable and accountability enforceable, while providing the analytical foundation to access global climate finance.
